How much fabric do I need?
Buy too little and you're making a second trip, sometimes only to find the print is gone. Buy too much and the extra sits in a bin. This calculator does the math for the projects our customers ask about most. Every result is rounded up to the nearest 1/8 yard and already includes room for seams, hems and squaring up.
Tips for getting it right
Measure twice, and measure the finished size you want, not the size of the old piece you're replacing. If your fabric has a large print or a directional design, buy a little extra so you can line up the pattern. Prewashing cotton can shrink it slightly, so if you plan to wash first, add about 5 percent.

Beautiful fabric that was nicely cut and packaged. Took a star away because seller was not very helpful when questioned about whether my fabric choices were color coordinated. Photos don’t always tell a true story when online shopping so it’s nice to have a store owner with a good eye. This owner didn’t seem to be familiar with her own stock.
